First produced in France in 1910, the Gauloises brand of cigarettes quickly became known for it's strength, especially in the unfiltered version. Picasso, Sartre, Jim Morrison and John Lennon were all fans, and in 1933 George Orwell wrote how he “squandered two francs fifty on a packet of Gaulois Bleu”.

This poster is linen backed.
