Published by order of the Government of the Union of South Africa. Printed by Jarrold & Sons Limited, Norwich.
Bernard Sargent was a Dutch poster artist and illustrator. His work shows many examples of advertising and book illustrations promoting South Africa as a tourist destination in the late 1950s.
The missing section of this poster was most likely cut out by the printer, to be used as a test piece to colour match.
Width and height measurements are in cm.
The Galerie only deals in original vintage posters. As such, each poster is unique and may show signs of age. We think this is part of their authenticity and beauty! However, we are more than happy to provide a condition report.
