The Loterie Nationale began in 1933 (the earliest French lottery was held in 1476). In 1952 Loterie Nationale faced competition from horse racing (PMU), & the last draw of the Loterie Nationale took place in 1990 - superceded by the more popular, Loto.
The Galerie Fitzroy has an extensive LN collection having collected them for 25+ years with the posters of Derouet being the most recognisable. This little character was shown doing all matter of things to show how much your life opens with the addition of those possible winnings - the weightlifter here looking delighted as hoists the huge dumb-bell over his head.
Width and height measurements are in cm.
The Galerie only deals in original vintage posters. As such, each poster is unique and may show signs of age. We think this is part of their authenticity and beauty! However, we are more than happy to provide a condition report.
