For a long time we thought that Rousselly was a Belgium performer from the 1920’s but given there is not a performance legacy around…maybe, just maybe, Rousselly was an Art-Deco jewellery house!
This poster is very typical of images of women of that time, the red lips, emphasis on the eyes, all smoky stone lithography aesthetic but on second glance, the tilt of the model’s head drawing our attention to the jewellery is next level. We think we are onto something. What do you think?!
The Galerie only deals in original vintage posters. As such, each poster is unique and may show signs of age. We think this is part of their authenticity and beauty! However, we are more than happy to provide a condition report.
