Fritz Buhler produced a number of posters in his time, of which The Galerie has had its fair share! This piece, for Inca (instant coffee) has bold colour, simplicity and great lines, the perfect poster to start your day! Buhler studied at art schools in Basel, Berlin and Paris, at 20 gaining his first job as a graphic designer for Publicitas AG. In 1933, Bühler opened his own graphic design studio in Basel, which attained international renown after the Second World War. Fritz Bühler's work as a graphic designer, illustrator, painter and advertiser for large national and international companies is well known. In his decorative style, sometimes using abstract elements, he created very successful advertising campaigns. He employed some important graphic designers such as Ruodi Barth and Celestino Patti and was a co-founder of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
Width and height measurements are in cm.
The Galerie only deals in original vintage posters. As such, each poster is unique and may show signs of age. We think this is part of their authenticity and beauty! However, we are more than happy to provide a condition report.
