This poster featuring a traditional Kathakali dancer was produced in Calcutta by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity to promote travel to India. Like a number of countries around the mid-century, including Australia, the Government hired posterists and design teams to come up with images that would entice people to journey to their lands.

The Galerie only deals in original vintage posters. As such, each poster is unique and may show signs of age. We think this is part of their authenticity and beauty! However, we are more than happy to provide a condition report.
