Loterie Nationale posters were created weekly for the national lotto draw the best artists of the day were used and imaginative, unique scenes had to be created to make the posters effective.
This was a series entitled ‘The Dunces’ produced by posterist Jean Effel showing classroom scenes of students learning certain ‘facts’, which shows a child being asked what the Capital of a certain region with the guess being ‘40 million’…
Condition
The Galerie only deals in original vintage posters. As such, each poster is unique and may show signs of age. We think this is part of their authenticity and beauty! However, we are more than happy to provide a condition report.
